Major Visible Expected Results
CAM4Home project will develop and demonstrate: 1) a novel metadata framework, 2) service architecture and 3) service platform for collaborative aggregated multi-channel multimedia delivery into digital home environment. The collaborative aggregated multimedia refers to aggregation and composition of individual multimedia contents into a content bundle that may include references to content based services and can be delivered as a semantically coherent set of content over various communication channels.
Accordingly the major expected concrete results of the project are:
- Specification and demonstration of novel CAM4Home metadata framework that enables a novel way of content provisioning by bundling different types of digital content and content services into content bundles on the level of metadata.
- Specification, design and demonstration of CAM4Home service architecture and service platform consisting of seamlessly interoperating content and network services supporting interactive and personalized on demand creation, distribution and delivery, interpretation and playback of collaborative aggregated multimedia content over multiple interoperating content networks.
- Final CAM4Home demonstration showcase that will include all the demonstrations and prototypes produced in the project promoting and illustrating the new way of content distribution and delivery enabled by the project. The demonstration showcase will be created in two major steps (intermediary and final) and is used as tool for results evaluation and dissemination.
The above listed expected concrete results are in line with the work package structure of the CAM4Home project. The results will be realized as deliverables of work packages 1,2,3,4, and 5 of the work plan described in section 3.2. Work package 6 will manage the project and realization of the expected results and also ensures good visibility of the project in industrial, standardization, and scientific forums via the dissemination and exploitation activities of CAM4Home consortium partners.
